The bandmates of NCT Dream thanked fans via Naver’s V Live for letting them win the main prize at the 29th Seoul Music Awards.

“Jisung, being underage, has gone to bed,” joked Haechan explaining the absence of the youngest member.

They were delighted to receive the award and actually prepared a special acceptance speech but decided to tone it down as the original idea was a little too funny, they told viewers.

“Should we call Jisung, though?” suggested Renjun and Jeno wondered if that accounts as appearing in the segment, addressing the regulation that bans underage celebrities from appearing in media after 10 p.m.

Haechan teased Renjun that Jisung has blocked Renjun’s calls, but when he made the call, his phone rang right outside the camera frame.

“As I have shared via SNS, the average age of us when we formed this unit was 15.6 and now it is 19.5,” said Haechan, “and we have strived to show how we have developed and grown.” He quickly turned into a naughty mode, however, saying that Jisung is the best example, having grown as tall as 180 centimeters from 140 centimeters.

GOT7 says hi between concert practice

Jinyoung and Mark of GOT7 livestreamed after their practice keeping fans up to date.

“It’s been almost a month,” said Jinyoung adding that they had taken a break and have gathered for a practice session together for the first time in a while.

The rest of the bandmates are working out, said Mark agreeing with Jinyoung that it feels awkward going live.

Mark’s parents came to Korea last week and his mother cooked him delicious food including tteokguk, or rice cake soup Koreans have on Lunar New Year’s Day. Jinyoung had the soup as well and he rested fully during the holidays except for one short business trip overseas.

Jinyoung tried to tease out details about their practice but Mark was not persuaded, only admitting to the fact that they have been practicing for their upcoming live concerts, the southeast Asian leg of their “Keep Spinning” tour, that will be held in Bangkok, Singapore and Macao.

“Next time we will be back with everyone,” said Jinyoung as they waved goodbye to fans.

SF9’s Jaeyoon celebrates new trophy with hot, spicy food

Jaeyoon of SF9 took to V Live happy and hungry.

“We came in first place at our last (TV) appearance!” he reported clapping at the good news that the band’s “Good Guy,” lead track from its first full-length album, has topped a television music chart program for the third time setting a record for them.

“I didn’t get to give an acceptance speech,” said the performer bowing to thank everyone from fans, staff and the family members of the bandmates.

“But I feel the most grateful to you, Fantasy!” he said telling the band’s fans that they always come first.

Jaeyoon then told viewers that he will be livestreaming his eating some gukbap, a combination of soup and rice. He ordered an additional bowl of rice, just in case, he added.

To better show the spicy soup, he brought the container close to the camera but spilled some, and apologized telling himself to calm down, lamenting how the spilled broth was wasted.

The eight-piece boy band checked in on fans from New York where it kicked off its 24-show international tour that will bring them to seven more cities in the American leg.

“It was also our first concert in 2020!” said Felix.

“I was quite surprised, though, when Changbin did all the talking in English,” noted Bang Chan asking the bandmate to continue to do so. The leader also was amazed to see so many fans at the live show.

“I didn’t realize at first but when I took off the in-ear (monitors), I was stunned by the loud screaming sounds” made by fans, added Felix.

They had such a great time onstage and it felt as if they just had a blast hanging out with Stays, their official fandom community, said the leader.

“When we were doing ‘Miroh’ for the encore, I so wanted to dive (into the audience) and join them,” said Hyunjin stirring out collective sighs of agreement from his bandmates.
