Seventeen’s Seungkwan went live from his hotel room after a live concert. As the birthday boy waved hi, some bandmates pointed out that he was trying to look happy on a special day.

“Actually, it is kind of our tradition to bring a cake at midnight to celebrate anyone’s birthday but I only have a bottle of water,” said Seungkwan.

“Our concert ended about two hours ago and before we went back onstage for an encore, I began to imagine ... someone putting some cake on my face. I even thought about telling Dogyeom not to do it,” he confided.

Before he felt even more miserable, his bandmates surprised him with a cake, blasting a happy birthday song for the 22-year-old, who covered his mouth with a hand as his eyes went wide.

“This is even better, right?” said the bandmates, laughing and patting him on the shoulder.

Tomorrow X Together‘s Taehyun tries magic stint

“Try and guess what I am going to do today. I’m not going to start until you get it right,” said Tomorrow X Together’s Taehyun, chuckling when everyone said magic tricks, as suggested by the title of the live segment.

Hueningkai joined Taehyun as an assistant, and as a warm-up, he took out a red heart-shaped puff from a cup that seemed to be empty at first.

Hueningkai snickered at himself, but Taehyun told him encouragingly that the idea was good.

Taehyun then told fans that he had dreamed of being a magician since he was a fifth grader, saying, “Being able to show the audience something that seemed impossible in the real world looked amazing.”

Among different kinds of magic tricks, his favorite was close-up card tricks, said the idol.

He pulled out cards and explained some basic terms to his bandmate and viewers while expertly shuffling the deck.

Then he asked Hueningkai to pick a random card. After moving the cards around, he found Hueningkai’s card, to the surprise of his assistant.

GOT7’s Yugyeom took to V Live from Los Angeles before returning to Korea.

“I had dinner with Mark’s parents. They bought me some delicious meat, at a Brazilian grill,” he said, trying to ward off the chill by moving his feet and arms.

He asked fans if they liked the teaser clip for the band’s upcoming fan meeting, which had been released several hours before, adding that he liked it very much.

He laughed as he looked at a message sent by Jinyoung: “You look cool on V Live.”

Yugyeom took several steps to the nearby park so that viewers could see him better, and told fans that the bandmates had a lot of fun shooting the video. He also hinted that there would be a behind-the-scenes clip as well.

Reassuring fans that he was resting and eating well, he waved before calling it a day.

SF9 has many reasons to celebrate

SF9’s Hwiyoung and Chanhee went live to thank fans for helping them to top a music chart program with “Good Guy,” the title track from the group’s new EP.

Chanhee moved the camera closer to Hwiyoung, who covered his face and asked fans not to stare at him for too long as he had wiped off his makeup. The latter said that he was so happy that the band had ranked first place -- “the very first in my entire life!” -- before mentioning that in several hours, it would be Chanhee’s birthday.

“I wanted to talk to you before my birthday but I also didn’t get to thank you properly on the stage,” said Chanhee. He acknowledged that he had a hard time fighting back tears, especially since the monitors kept showing the other members crying.

“I was so delighted, and all I could do was laugh. And looking at the bandmates shed tears, so cute by the way, made me think again that I want to do better and make them cry more,” said Hwiyoung with a smile.
