Renjun of NCT Dream took to V Live on his way home.

“I had a recording so I could not go on live right after the radio program,” he told viewers. Although it was the first time the program had been livestreamed visually as well, he was not that nervous and it was quite refreshing.

The idol also thanked fans for the band’s win at the 2020 Golden Disc Awards, where NCT Dream took home the main prize in the album category.

“We were so happy and it is so good to be able to express my gratitude through this,” he said, admitting that he had been all nerves during the acceptance speech.

The performer then asked fans if they had any concerns or needed any advice. When one person asked how to be a better team leader, Renjun said, “You have be aware of what is going on, (understand what all your team members are struggling with) and be considerate, I believe, which makes it very hard.”

Stray Kids’ Hyunjin reflects on his own ups and downs

“How did I begin this?” Hyunjin of Stray Kids asked, starting off the third episode of his solo segment where he listens to fans’ concerns and troubles.

The musician turned on “Like Someone in Love” by British singer-songwriter Bruno Major before reading a fan’s first few posts.

“I am suffering from what must be a slump but feel like I lack the strength to (express) what I think to others,” said the fan. “I want to change jobs but cannot afford to and need some advice how to boost my self-confidence.”

“I have gone through slumps before and after our debut. I am not sure if I have overcome it completely but time helped me sort out my thoughts,” said Hyunjin. Talking to people close to you also can be helpful but hanging in there while setting goals and striving to achieve some will help you pull through, he said.

SF9’s Zuho talks about new video

Before discussing the music video for “Good Guy,” which was released at midnight, Zuho of SF9 told viewers it would be his last solo livestream before the video came out.

“We have paid so much attention to the video, especially since it is for (the lead track of) our full-length album,” he said. The bandmates had pored over everything from the plot, perspective and script to props and costumes, putting their heads together with those of the staffers. The trailer images and teaser clips had been discussed in detail, as well as the timing of the release, said the performer.

“Frankly, I was very much opposed to releasing the music video in advance as I wanted it to come out at the same time (as the album) with a bam,” he confided. But the fact that the video racked up more views than “RPM,” the title song from the band’s last EP, in one day, shows that it was a good decision, he said.

GFriend’s Yerin recalls small onstage incident

Sporting cute ponytails and bangs, Yerin reminded viewers that she was taking over GFriend’s V Live for the day.

“I have been communicating with you with only my voice for a while, so I put on some makeup today and am showing my face,” she told viewers.

She had dance practice that day, but fans shouldn’t take that as a hint about the release of any new content, said Yerin. Instead, she said, it was for upcoming fan meet events. As for what she’d forgotten to mention in the previous segment, she remembered it now. She’d meant to explain what had kept her from dancing perfectly onstage during a year-end music program.

“I was wearing several bracelets with the gold costume, but they were slightly big. And in the middle of the dance, when I moved my arms and stretched it sharply, one of them sprung from my arm and was dangling at the end of my fingers. So I could not do the proper moves and instead was flapping my arms like a chicken!” said the idol.
