They started with coloring trees in sketch books first teasing fans that they will decorate a bigger, yet-to-be-shown tree afterward.

“We used to have a really big Christmas tree at home when I was young. My dad dusted it off every year for us,” recalled Beomgyu.

Soobin had a hard time finding green to fill out the tree while Hueningkai declared that he had finished his off in a few minutes. When the youngest member showed his, colored with light orange and turned sideways, and told everyone that it is actually a bird the bandmates chuckled and asked him to come up with a name.

Yeonjun and Soobin told each other how they have spent every Christmas since they joined the group practicing.

“We would put on Christmas carols and practiced,” said Yeonjun. The repertoire ranged from “Mistletoe” and “Do You Want to Build A Snowman” to “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” by Justin Bieber, he said humming.

“I have,” said Park and Kim said Song Mingi also have seen it and has been singing the theme song all the time.

“You really should watch in 4D,” Song recommended to the leader and Kim said he will try the 4D version assuring bandmates that the movie is still being screened.

“Let’s go to the movie theater together and I will see ‘Ashfall,’” suggested Choi Jongho to the delight of Kim.

NCT’s vocalists sings carol medley

Taeil, Jaehyun, Doyoung and Haechan of NCT took to V Live showing off their teamwork as NCT U that just released a winter-themed song “Coming Home.”

Sitting side by side in the middle of rows of red seats, the four were all jokey pretending to have just woken up from sleep and singing a medley of Christmas songs from “Jingle Bell Rock” to “Last Christmas” and “White Christmas” only to realize that none of them actually knew all of the lyrics. They crooned and belted out parts of songs in harmony befitting their vocalist titles before turning silly and switching to disharmony.

“We can come up with another song for spring but it is not up to us. We need your help,” said Doyoung asking fans’ support for the quartet.

“Everyone seems to be quite giddy with excitement in the mood for Christmas,” commented Jaehyun.

“We will, as always, spend the day together,” said Haechan. He was delighted to be reminded that they will be seeing their fans as well.

“I spent last Christmas with my family so it will be even better to meet them this year,” he added.

“I have told viewers that we will do this soon only a few hours ago on V Live and here we are,” began Youngbin. It has been made public that they will come back on Jan. 7 and fans are posting comments congratulating their return, and understandably would have a lot of questions, but they will focus on unboxing the package today, he explained.

“I would say I have lived for this day,” Inseong said dramatically referring to announcement of their pending return.

“We have prepared a lot including shooting a number of variety programs so you will not be disappointed,” he told fans.

“This is the first time we are looking at the set fully packaged,” Youngbin said. The bandmates agreed that they were satisfied with the outcome, especially the photographs.

“You were filming the drama at the time (we did the photo shoot), right?” Hwiyoung asked Rowoon telling him that he did well.
