Heechul expressed regret and sadness over not being able to join his bandmates on stage due to a leg injury he suffered from a car accident. I am sorry, especially to our fans although they are aware of the issue and tell me it is OK, he said.

The rest of the band gathered to begin practicing for the title track “Super Clap” with choreographer Tony Testa who collaborated with them for “Mamacita” and “Devil” for their seventh album.

After a warm-up of running around in circles and stretching, the eight members settled down. All eyed the eight stand-in dancers intently but everyone hooted and clapped with excitement when the dancer doing Kyuhyun’s part did a solo for the climax.

“Something must be wrong, no?” asked the youngest member, but Testa said it is a gift to celebrate his return.

In the music video of the title track “Dear Love” that has just been unveiled, the singer-songwriter seems at first lost in space and also has lost his purpose. Then he encounters another space traveler and finds hope and sings about love.

“I was fascinated with space ever since I was a kid, and wanted to express it through my music,” he said. Hyunsik was inspired by quantum mechanics and linked it with human relationships, a theme of the album and a project that will continue.

He has been writing songs for the band for over eight years and wrote all the five tracks. I have always wanted to be a songwriter before I joined BTOB, and when I write songs, I let down anything personal and focus on the band, said the idol adding that this EP is not for any results but made to satisfy himself before enlisting for military duty.

The idols participated in writing all 11 songs of their first full-length album and began discussing it with the first track “Be There.” Hyojung sang along the chorus part of it and Lee Daehwi asked if she knows it.

“As you know, the title of our EP is 6ixense, similar to a movie that is well-known for a twisted plot. This is a song that perfectly embodies the concept as the verse and chorus parts are dramatically different,” explained Lim Youngmin who participated in writing the lyrics of the song.

Kim Donghyun wrote and composed “Deep Inside,” a dreamy number that is quite different from cute and lovely songs he has come up with before. When asked to pick a member who best delivers the song, Kim chose Park Woojin for his rap.

“Hi. I just woke up,” said the idol.

His bandmates started singing together, apparently without much practice, and he tried to lip-sync without actually knowing the song, Jimin said laughing. The song sounded familiar somehow and at some point he heard his name, he added calling the members “cuties.”

He wanted to look nice to his fans but his eyes were too puffy, he said confiding with a smirk that his smartphone did not recognize his face in the morning.

“I understand that they are swollen but your phone is supposed to recognize the owner’s face, right?” asked Jimin.

He also reported that he got his driver’s license. His friends and parents made fun of him saying they all have one, and he vowed to get one as soon as his break begins, said the idol telling fans that he did triumphantly.
