“I was late because I wanted to bring these,” said Ryeowook, displaying a bag full of boiled potatoes and a box of muffins, both prepared by his mother.

“Do you have salt? No, I need sugar,” said Leeteuk, trying to annoy Ryeowook before helping himself to the root vegetable.

When a staff member asked Shindong about his health, the singer assured that he was recovering well.

“I was surprised to receive so many calls (after the news of unspecified health issues), the most in my life. At the same time, I thought at least I have lived quite decently,” said the performer hugging Siwon, who was the first to call. He never calls, added Shindong, making Siwon cringe.

While the rest of the bandmates were busy getting their hair and makeup done, Donghae was doing some sewing with his bag. Ryeowook tried to make fun of him, but Donghae explained that he receives many key rings from fans and wanted to put as many as possible on his bag.

He thought about not going online lest he distract fans about to begin their days on the other side of the globe, but said he decided to livestream anyways. I am not sick or drunk, I am just tired, and my eyes are drooping, he said, telling fans that the band had filmed something that day and he was worn out.

As he communicated partly in English, some fans commented that his English is quite good.

“I am always studying English so it has improved a little bit,” said JB.

He said he does not know any French, as he can barely keep up with English. It is the same with Spanish, he said, but invited fans to teach him, triggering a tide of Spanish lessons via the live feed.

“I will not be able to remember these, though,” he said, slowly reading through phrases sent by fans.

Meanwhile, one fan asked him to help shake off sleep and he instantly began singing “Island Baby.”

“Actually this is a lullaby, but my mom used to wake me up singing this song,” he said with a smile.

“Thank you for celebrating (Oct. 10) with me. It feels as if I have two birthdays,” he said, having earned the nickname “10:10” for his eyes that resemble clock hands showing that specific time. Fans have begun to celebrate Oct. 10 in his honor as well.

Telling fans that he had a great day after the previous day’s concert in Osaka, Japan, the idol asked fans to share what they had for dinner.

Going through the live chat, he uttered exclamations at the choices and complimented them for eating well.

“It is so nice to talk to you like this ... maybe I should take to V Live more often,” he said. He was going to keep the livestream to 10 minutes, in the spirit of 10:10, but ultimately caved to fans’ request to go longer.

The 13-piece act was scheduled to hold three days of concerts in Japan’s Aichi prefecture, but the first show scheduled for Saturday was canceled due to an approaching typhoon.

After performing just-released single “Double Knot,” the band sat down to talk. Hyunjin commented that this was the fourth time they were doing the program and they were honored to serve as special DJs as well.

“You are not disgruntled about my deejaying, are you?” Hyunjin asked I.N.

“I actually am,” said I.N, and when Hyunjin asked why, he coolly responded: “Do you need a reason to be dissatisfied?”

The bandmates launched into a series of personal showcases of appeal ranging from cute to sexy that turned into a session of making fun of each other. Then they talked more about “Double Knot,” as I.N introduced the song, Woojin sang a part of it and Lee Know demonstrated one of the key moves from the choreography.
