After a celebratory dance, Haechan confessed that they had news they were dying to tell. They had dropped some hints, though, he said, while the rest of the bandmates feigned innocence.

“We are so full of excitement as we will be able to show you a new cooler, cuter side of us,” he added. They had been waiting for a very long time for this and were grateful for the opportunity, and they were nervous, he said. “But you know us,” promised Haechan.

“I am very eager to see the chemistry between us and our fans,” said Renjun.

Jisung was more relaxed, saying he’d expected to have a chance to perform at a stand-alone concert eventually at some point in his career. When he heard the news, he said, it had taken a few seconds for the idea to sink in.

“And then you cried,” said his bandmates, making fun of NCT Dream’s youngest member.

Super Junior wraps up management mission

As manager for a day on Super Junior’s reality program, Kyuhyun continued to mess with Eunhyuk.

Kyuhyun brought Eunhyuk to a rehearsal for the play “Fuerza Bruta,” first giving his bandmate a few seconds to learn his way around. Abandoning any hope, Eunhyuk led the way to his trailer only to be called to a rehearsal as soon as he got there.

Before he joined the group dance practice, Eunhyuk asked Kyuhyun to find something to protect his injured rib from the harness he had to wear during part of the rehearsal, which would involve the performer being suspended from a wire.

Kyuhyun fought his way through the traffic jam and managed to find a padded mask and compress as well as the vanilla latte his bandmate wanted. But when he returned, Eunhyuk was already in midair.

“I thought someone as smart and perceptive as you would do a great job as a manager,” said Eunhyuk as they approached his home.

“It was way off the mark,” said Kyuhyun, laughing and adding that he’d had a great day.

Stray Kids celebrates leader’s birthday

Bang Chan of Stray Kids had an early birthday party online with fans.

The boys started off the livestream dancing to “Victory Song,” co-written by the leader, with enough enthusiasm to shake the camera.

While Han tried to liven up the mood even more, the lights went out and Hyunjin brought in the birthday cake. Bang Chan made a wish, but the cake almost slipped as he tried to get a good look, so Han took it away to keep it safe.

Before the livestream, they had enjoyed a feast -- from chicken, pizza and hot dogs to pig trotters -- a treat from the birthday boy.

“I heard that is how things work in Korea,” said Bang Chan.

The bandmates then mentioned the pending release of the band’s new single, “Double Knot,” Oct. 9.

“The performance for the song,” Bang Chan began when Changbin asked him if he was confident about it. After a brief pause, he said: “Yes. I believe they will be amazed.”

AB6IX’s Lee Daewhi almost gives away new title track

Lee Daewhi of AB6IX talked to fans about the band’s upcoming album.

“There are two pieces of good news today. First, the highlight medley (for our album) has been released,” he said, applauding by patting his shoulder while holding the camera at the same time.

The medley was a preview of the album, which has 11 songs, all by the bandmates. The full album will premiere next week through a music chart program that he emcees for, said the leader of the band.

“It is only days away and I am extremely nervous. It feels different from putting out the debut album, and I want more people to listen to it and like it. We can only do our best and leave the rest to you,” he told fans.

The singer-songwriter was happy to finally be able to discuss the title track, “Blind for Love.” Feeling such strong feelings toward someone -- enough to give everything, he said -- is amazing and is also how the band feels about the fans. Without realizing it, Lee had started singing a yet-to-be-aired part of the song.
