He began his solo segment with the big news: the official announcement of NCT Dream’s first standalone concerts, “The Dream Show,” scheduled for Nov. 16 and 17.

“We have longed for it so much and you have been waiting for it for so long,” said the idol, thanking fans for their patience and promising that the group will put on a great show. The concerts are to be an upgrade of the six-piece subunit’s mini-concerts that have been similarly called “Dream Show,” he said.

With the concerts over one month away, Jeno had no specific details to share with fans yet. When some fans asked if they would be able to see him up close at the site, he cautiously said that it may depend on their seats wishing them luck with getting tickets.

As for Halloween at the end of the month, he has no plans, as it seemed like anything he could think of had already been done. Instead, he thought he would be an invisible man and not do anything, the performer said with a snicker.

The brother-and-sister duo with the album officially changed their collective name from Akdong Musician, meaning “mischievous children musician” in Korean, to reflect their maturity. Elder brother Lee Chan-hyuk and sister Su-hyun were the top contestants of their season from TV competition “K-Pop Star,” and debuted in 2015 under YG Entertainment.

Chan-hyuk has been writing all of the duo’s songs, which range from playful to heartfelt, and all of their albums have proved successful. For the past two years, though, the band’s career has been on hold as the male singer-songwriter has been serving his compulsory military duty, explained reporter Ahn Sung-mi.

Lead track “How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You’re the One I Love” has been atop multiple streaming charts, which in itself proves how much the sibling duo’s music is loved, said Yim Hyun-su.

Yim went on to say that the album’s title came from Chan-hyuk’s monthlong mission on a ship during his service with the Marine Corps. He spent long hours on his own and came up with the melodies and lyrics without an accompanying instrument aboard, jotting them down on a notepad.

“The general sounds of the album are quite acoustic,” noted Yim.

Clad head-to-toe in red, the idol was ready to look fierce, but was slightly disappointed that she had to portray a sad feeling for her solo scene. When the camera began to roll, however, she had no problem acting the part and got the OK sign with a single take.

“Everyone else had a partner except me and the story goes that we will later join and become whole and special,” she told fans, unknowingly poking the nose of a giant golden beast statue with her index finger.

As for the new song’s choreography, Jeongyeon admitted that it was quite demanding since they have to use both their hands and feet nonstop.

“Each of the moves may look easy, but you really should give it a try yourself,” she said.

“As you know, I am the slowest in learning the choreography and always make mistakes. But this time, I have to tell you I did so well!” she added, giving herself a pat on the shoulder.

However, the best part of the song are the lyrics, according to the idol.

“I’m sure you will empathize with the words.”

“I was planning to go online at 7 p.m. but lost track of time. Jinho and Hui are prepping themselves up for their new DJ jobs and I thought I might entertain you while waiting for them,” he said.

The band recently came back from the southern half of the American leg of its international tour, performing in Brazil, Chile and Mexico. He reported having a great time, but his usual strategy for long flights to help overcome jet lag failed him this time, he added.

“I stay up all night before getting on the plane and sleep through the flight. Since I returned from Mexico City, however, I’ve been quite tired no matter how much I sleep,” said Shinwon.

He was then joined by Wooseok, who could not stop talking about the mosquitoes, from tips for how to catch them better to theories on which blood type they prefer.
