The girls gathered around a cake featuring characters from Kakao’s messenger app, congratulating them on the release of the new EP. Jihyo had a compress on her neck.

“I just wanted to assure you that you don’t have to worry,” she said. “I sprained my neck during rehearsal and can’t move my neck for now. But I have been to a doctor and there is no need for concern.”

Jeongyeon then reminded fans that the EP’s official release was only an hour away.

“We had our media showcase and in only three hours, we will have one for you, Once,” she said, while Jihyo asked everyone to pray that she would be able to move her neck in time.

“There is quite a lot of choreography that centers on Jihyo this time,” Jeongyeon said, worried, before mischievously asking if the band should spoil fans by singing the title track in full.

“This is the first time I am livestreaming on my own,” he began solemnly, but he could not suppress his laughter and asked Han Seungwoo to join him right away.

“You almost killed me,” said Lee as the leader greeted fans on camera.

“Should I do it again? I can go out of the frame and make you laugh in one second,” said Han.

“No. I don’t think I’m ready,” said Lee as his face broke into a smile. For the pair’s first livestream on their own, Han wanted to try a novel approach, said Lee. The two admitted that they were very nervous and when their eyes met, they burst into laughter.

Going through the messages left by fans offering encouragement, the idols said they got inspiration from each other.

“Looking at Seungwoo onstage, I learn a lot,” said Lee, and the older member complimented the younger one for being so hardworking.

“I have received advice from Seungwoo today and think I will be able to show it in our next performance,” added Lee.

Super Junior bandmates learn more about each other

The members of Super Junior tried looking after each other as managers for an ongoing reality program.

The bandmates arrived one by one, starting with the youngest, Kyuhyun. But it took over 45 minutes for the eight participating musicians to show up. (Siwon was missing because he was overseas.) Leader Leeteuk worried that their bond, recently reinforced over a meal, had already weakened but Eunhyuk coolly countered, “It is a feat in itself that everyone is here.”

The veteran idols admitted that they needed to refresh their feelings for each other after spending 15 years together.

“It also is undeniable that it may not be too easy for our staff to deal with us,” said Leeteuk, who is 36 years old, explaining why the bandmates felt the need for the one-day role-playing experience.

Sindong was the first to undertake the job and chose Leeteuk since the two are opposites.

“Leeteuk always keeps himself busy. Even at home, he is cleaning whenever I see him. I, on the other hand, don’t do anything. So through this, I thought I might be able to understand him better,” said Sindong.

Full of confidence, he got in the car to pick up Leeteuk and called him 30 minutes ahead of time. But when Leeteuk did not answer the phone, Sindong began to feel uneasy.

Woojin of Stray Kids shared his fondness for fragrances, introducing some from his personal collection.

“I wanted to show you what perfumes I like and brought some of mine. I have about a dozen at home and will talk about three of them,” he told fans.

First was a fragrance from Jo Malone he’d found at an airport. He’d just been browsing, slightly unsatisfied with the store’s small selection, but had fallen for the scent on the first sniff.

“I actually look at quite a lot of fragrance reviews on YouTube. I have seen how well-edited they are with a detailed description of the smell, such as explaining the base, middle and top notes, but I will just have to rely on my general portrayal,” said the idol.

He has tried a number of rose-scented fragrances but the one from Jo Malone is his personal favorite, he said, taking a whiff of it from the black bottle. It goes best with spring, Woojin said, adding that it is a unisex perfume.
