Kang Daniel has officially announced the name of his fan club.

When the number of fans tuning into the livestream reached 77,000, he began by thanking those who participated in the vote for the name with a deep bow.

“It is time to say goodbye to ‘No Name’ although it was cute to see you calling each other as nameless. It would be even better if I could call you with a name,” said Kang.

He showed a list of the top six candidates one by one, beginning from the bottom with El’Do.

“Do you know why there is a cat sticker next to this? Because I came up with this one,” he said adding that he was inspired by the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Another of his picks, Bell, came in fifth. The singer said, “It was the first name that I wrote down as a candidate. It is the name of the female lead in the movie ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ and I found it very pretty. It also signifies a bell that hails the beginning of something. For me, you have been with me since the beginning, so I thought it was fitting.”

There were also Hi. D, Re:D, Steezy but the winner was Danity with 38 percent of votes.

Stray Kids look forward to Chuseok

Five members of Stray Kids took to V Live on their way home after a performance.

“We have done two songs onstage but heard that it will not be broadcast. So we wanted to say hi to Stays who are cheering for us at home,” said Seungmin, referring to the band’s fandom community. They performed “District 9” for the first time in a while, he told fans.

The bandmates were surprised that it was almost September, commenting how the temperature seemed to have dropped.

“And those mosquitoes! I can feel them approaching!” said Hyunjin.

They recalled that around the same time last year they had celebrated Han’s birthday with a Pororo-themed cake bought by Hyunjin.

“Han kissed you, remember?” said Seungmin, reminding everyone that the bandmate’s birthday was only two weeks away. But Chuseok, or the Korean Thanksgiving, will come first this year, he added.

“I think I gain several kilograms during Chuseok because I eat so much,” said Hyunjin.

Lee Know said from the backseat that he was trying to lose weight so that he could eat a lot during the holiday.

Monsta X’s I.M needs more time before showing abs

Monsta X shared a clip featuring the making of its music video for “Who Do U Love?”

Waiting behind a door for the cue, I.M said his face had swelled up because the shoot was taking place early in the morning.

“It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have eaten,” he said before resuming a walk along a heavily decorated corridor.

Between takes, I.M checked himself in the mirrors. Asked about his workouts, he admitted that they were rewarding.

“I feel a kind of achievement after working out. I exercise after performances, and sometimes wake up early to put in some hours before concerts,” he said, adding that he would maintain his routine during the band’s tour.

“We will be on the road for 1 1/2 months, so I am looking forward to seeing the results,” said I.M.

Will he be ready to reveal his abs to fans? Even after he is physically ready, he will need more time to work up the courage, said the rapper sheepishly.

GOT7’s Jinyoung, Youngjae look back at old days

Jinyoung and Youngjae of GOT7 could not stop laughing talking about their rookie days.

After letting the main vocalist of the band belt out a song, Jinyoung introduced themselves as the buddies who share a van. They have come up with a way to make themselves comfortable, shifting the back-row seats to put their feet up, the pair said, telling fans that it almost feels like flying first class.

“We used to cram ourselves into one van, all seven of us sharing a single car,” said Youngjae recalling their rookie days.

“This suddenly makes me upset,” said Jinyoung, explaining that Youngjae and Jackson used to hide at the back of a building so they could get in the car last and take the relatively more comfortable front seats.

“But we also had fun in those days,” said Youngjae, looking back at how they went on a diet before their debut.

The pair also shared episodes. For instance, Jinyoung was summoned back to a rooftop for singing to himself after being reprimanded and Yugyeom had added cute little hearts to his letter of self-reflection.

“JB even said it was a good idea, and we all agreed!” laughed the two.
