“Please bid farewell to my bangs because I am trying again to grow it,” she said, trying to tame her wayward fringe.

The singer went on to say that her curly hair is usually straightened into slight waves when she goes on camera.

“I thought about livestreaming me eating but I just had dinner, so I can’t this time,” she said.

She had meat and fried rice with bandmate Lisa and both their moms.

Asked what she ate the most during the group’s world tour, she answered nurungji, or crunchy browned rice, with kimchi.

“One of my suitcases was filled with it. … I need them even after I eat something else,” said the performer with a sheepish grin.

“There is so much I want to talk about but first, it was amazing to see so many Stays at KCON 2019 LA,” said the leader of the band, which participated in the biannual K-pop concert the previous week, referring to the band’s official fan community.

“We had such a great time just being able to see you guys onstage. And you knew all our songs and were having so much fun and because of that we enjoyed ourselves so much. It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had,” he said, thanking fans over and over again.

At the closing performance for 2019 K-World Festa, a 10-day festival celebrating Korean culture, held the previous day, Bang Chan was amazed at the huge gathering of fans.

“Thanks to the thrust stage, we could get even closer to you, and just looking at you enjoying yourselves gives us so much strength,” he said, turning on the band’s “M.I.A,” the first music pick of the day.

“We only have about 15 minutes!” said the six members.

And then their music video for “Fireflies” will be released, announced Renjun, referring to the collaboration with the Scout Foundation, which named the unit as its first global ambassador.

“We are also marking our third anniversary as NCT Dream!” said the NCT subunit consisting of members under 20 years old.

After Haechan’s dramatic adaptation of the opening statement, Jeno reported that the unit’s small event celebrating the release of its third EP had gone well and thanked fans for coming.

“Thank you for laughing even when we really weren’t that funny,” said Renjun.

“The event was supposed to last one hour but we had too much fun with our fans and it lasted much longer,” said Haechan.

“If the staff did not let us know, we wouldn’t have stopped for maybe three hours,” said Jaemin.

As soon as they began the segment, fans told them they were about to watch a TV drama starring IU.

“We chose the wrong time (to livestream),” said the trio, wondering if they should return later. To their surprise, the number of hearts sent by fans reached 1 million in less than five minutes.

A fan bid them good night, saying he had to go, as he is serving his military duty. This reminded Choi of her brother who is also serving his military service.

“I am quite behind and didn’t know that I could send letters to my brother digitally until Chaeyeon told me. At first I didn’t even believe her when she said I could do it via an application. But she found my brother online and I got to send him one,” she said.

Ahn Yujin then joined the three, who apologized for taking over her room.

“It’s OK but what did you mean you will livestream for 300 hours?” she laughed, joining her bandmates.
