Taeyong of NCT 127 can’t hide excitement over ‘Love Del Luna’

Taeyong of NCT 127 took to V Live on Saturday night, looking fairly overwhelmed with excitement. Donning purple hair, the singer explained why he’d included an eggplant emoji in the title of the broadcast: “I used that emoji since my hair looks like an eggplant and I love it.”

He went on to share that he was exploding with happiness because of “Love Del Luna,” the most recent soundtrack for popular drama series “Hotel Del Luna,” in which he played a rapper with vocalist Punch. Speaking of the track’s high position on charts, Taeyong said, “I feel so great tonight. I’ve been put on a pedestal, and I don’t know how to handle this happiness. I’m so thankful for all the love I received.”

Marking the drama series’ 13th soundtrack, “Love Del Luna” was released Saturday evening.

X1 reveals teaser clip for ‘Flash’

X1, a project boy band created from the popular audition program “Produce X 101,” released a teaser video of the group’s debut single, “Flash.” The clip features the 11 members in various dark settings, an indication of the song’s energetic atmosphere.

Signed under Swing Entertainment and Stone Music Entertainment, the boy band comprises members who competed on the “Produce” show earlier this year. X1’s first EP, “Emergency: Quantum Leap,” will drop Tuesday. The act will also hold a debut showcase at Gocheok Skydome in Seoul the same day.

Itzy thanks fans for winning 1st place with ‘Icy’

Itzy thanked fans after making it to No. 1 on six local music programs in a row with the act’s recent single, “Icy.” Clad in pink-tinged outfits, the five members of Itzy greeted fans while sitting on a sofa after wrapping up their performance on MBC’s “Show! Music Core.”

As newcomers on the scene and the first girl group coming out of JYP since Twice debuted in 2015, the five-piece act made a big splash with debut single “Dalla Dalla,” which received over 14 million views within 24 hours of its release on YouTube.

Itzy recently dropped its first EP, “It’z Icy,” featuring lead track “Icy.” The music video for “Icy” garnered over 5 million views on YouTube within just 10 hours of its release.

Apink’s Chorong, Bomi show support for Hayoung

Boasting of the close bond shared by all the band members, Chorong and Bomi of Apink visited Hayoung to show their support for the group’s youngest member, who’d recently stepped out solo.

In the clip, Chorong, the band’s leader, and Bomi are seen enjoying their meals in a green room for MBC’s “Show! Music Core,” where Hayoung performed her first solo single, “Don’t Make Me Laugh.”

Casually answering fans’ questions, the bandmates said they were all busy these days with individual activities. Hayoung expressed gratitude for their support despite their hectic schedules.

Hayoung’s first solo album -- titled “OH!” after the group’s debut in 2011 -- was released Aug. 22.
