In the middle of the second round of VR games, while picking up pieces of cake perched on a plank placed high in the sky, the bandmates began to get mischievous.

J-Hope, a novice of the virtual reality genre, was just about to get a piece when Jin pushed him off a skyscraper. J-Hope screamed and screamed throughout the free fall, making everyone else extremely happy. Jin could not resist pushing him again, seemingly unaware that they were on the same team.

“Shouldn’t we make it fair and push Jungkook, too?” mumbled Suga, trying not to move his mouth when the youngest member took over.

“He won’t even be surprised,” replied Jimin.

Jungkook was more focused on having fun than on winning. He picked up the cake and threw the pieces into the air before taking a plunge.

Jimin, despite his fear of heights, effortlessly completed the mission with the longest time left -- another win for his team.

The former Wanna One member has come out with his much-awaited solo debut EP, the title of which was “inspired by one of the five tracks, called ‘Color,’ as he wanted to show his own color to his fans,” explained Ahn Sung-mi as she held up the album in its hologrammed container.

There were high expectations ahead of his solo debut. The EP received over 450,000 preorders and sold more than 340,000 copies on the first the day, breaking the record for single-day sales for any K-pop solo artist, she said.

The idol has been a sensation since 2017, when he appeared on TV audition program “Produce 101,” rising to No. 1 at the end of the second season. Despite a still-ongoing battle with an entertainment company, the 22-year-old kept going and finally struck out on his own, said Hong Dam-young.

Kang’s showcase event drew a “crazy” long line of fans even in the pouring rain, said Ahn, confessing that once inside she’d dashed ahead and managed to get a front-row seat at the jam-packed media event.

“(The program) was off last week so I forewent and am back today,” he said, greeting fans.

The idol empathized with fans who did not get the card-sized photographs of him that come with the EP of NCT Dream, a subunit he belongs to.

“But it’s not like I can give them to you. I have yet to get myself an album but will very soon,” he said. For those photographs, the members were asked to come up with two messages to be written on the back. Instead, Jeno told fans, he had chosen to split his message in two.

He agreed to livestream unboxing the album but admitted that it would take time since the EP was selling out fast.

“I heard that it is hard to find them in stores. Maybe I should give it some time,” said the performer, thanking fans for rushing to purchase albums.

“There were a number of new things presented by Stays in Paris,” said Woojin, referring to the band’s French fandom community. The band members began stomping their feet and clapping to show how fans had chanted along with their take on Queen’s “We Will Rock You.”

Changbin was also impressed by the high-speed foot-stomping.

“I thought there was a subway going through nearby,” said Seungmin, making everyone burst into laughter.

“We have performed in Paris, our second after London, and thankfully everyone is safe and healthy,” said Changbin of the ongoing European tour, thanking fans for their enthusiastic response to his prepared comments in French.

“We had so much fun today and wherever we go, our Stays are so passionate,” said Lee Know.

His bandmates began to make fun of him when he said “Stay is the main character of a book called ‘Lee Know.’” Lee Know repeated those words without even blushing, and everyone screamed at his tongue-in-cheek remark.
