“I can’t believe it has been 2,000 days already,” said Jackson as the septet bowed to express their gratitude.

“Please understand why we are dressed like this. It is quite late here,” said JB in pajamas and with disheveled hair. The group was on its tour in the US.

“Except for Jackson,” he added, looking at the well-dressed bandmate.

“He sleeps like that,” joked Yugyeom, ignoring Jackson’s explanation that he had been recording.

“With sunglasses on (over his beanie)!” said Youngjae, bursting into laughter.

“We have been with Agasae for 2,000 days but among us, it’s much longer,” said Jinyoung. Agasae is the name of the group’s official fandom.

“It was 2011 when I met you guys. It’s been eight years,” murmured Yugyeom.

“It’s 11 years for JB and me,” said Jinyoung.

To mark the special day, Yugyeom suggested listening to each member’s favorites among their own songs. Youngjae searched and was surprised that it totaled up to 151.

“We will continue to do our best and hope we can be together for 10,000 days,” said JB.

“Ask me anything. … I also wanted to give you some background details,” he said.

Acknowledging that he had watched bandmate Xeno reveal his identity while livestreaming, Doyoung said, “Instead of thinking, oh no you shouldn’t reveal that it’s me, I was embarrassed that he had seen me do the dance.”

“I didn’t know that the dancing part would be talked about so much,” said the singer, begging everyone to get it out of their heads.

When fans asked which round had made him the most nervous, he said he rather enjoyed it throughout. “It felt as if I belted out songs as much as I could for the first time in a while.”

“I didn’t make it to the position of King but I was more disappointed by the fact that I could not sing more songs onstage than not becoming one, as there were so many songs that I wanted to sing,” he said.

“I have watched ‘Puppy Day,’ too. I love it!” he said, echoing fans’ enthusiasm for the band’s newly launched reality program. “I cried at the filming site, as it was so much fun,” said the performer.

“And Jooheon is so cute. He is the cutest man I know,” he added.

Minhyuk also looked back on the days he had worked part time.

“I told you about this a couple of times but I worked at Burger King, one of my first part-time jobs. I won’t tell you how old I was, though, since there could have been a violation,” he said.

Thanks to a manager, he worked the counter, a privilege for part-timers, and it was the first time he talked to a foreigner, recalled Minhyuk.

“My personal favorite is chicken burger with bulgogi sauce,” he told fans, after confessing that he had sneaked out an apple pie and munched it on his way home.

Against a backdrop with decorations that spelled out the names of the group and fandom, the five members happily announced that they had chosen “Midzy.”

“It means ‘You trust me, right?’ and also rhymes with the band’s name,” explained Lia. “You have believed in us, waiting and supporting, and we in you. I hope you like it, too,” she said.

The bandmates realized they were not able to light the candles but asked fans to use their imagination.

“Make a wish and blow the candle,” they said holding out the cake.

“Please let ITZY and MIDZY be forever,” said Chaeryeong.

“I was all pitter-patter turning on the V Live app. We can finally call you by name!” said Yeji with a huge smile on her face.

Full of excitement, they composed acrostic poems with the newly minted fandom name. After a long discussion, they added a slight change to their signature hand gestures to accommodate MIDZY.
