Super Junior’s Kyuhyun says he would choose Changmin of TVXQ as his ideal travel buddy.

During a press conference Tuesday for the new season of tvN’s travel show “Salty Tour,” the singer was asked which celebrity he would most like to travel with.

“I’d have to say Changmin. I feel like he won’t complain much even if the itinerary is quite tough,” he told the press.

The first episode of the nighttime program, which focuses on budget travel, aired Monday.

“I personally love going on a trip so I enjoy watching travel shows. I can work and also go to places that I’ve never been at the same time,” Kyuhyun said at the press conference when asked why he had decided to take part in the show.

He is also a huge fan of the show’s intensive filming schedule. “I liked the idea of working really hard for four days, then resting for the rest of the month,” he said.

Producer Ahn Jae-min, who made the casting decision, said he’d set his eyes on Kyuhyun after hearing that the singer had such a busy lifestyle that he planned just about every five minutes of each trip. As the show hopes to show viewers how to enjoy their holidays on a tight budget, the producer said the singer was a great choice.

During the event, Kyuhyun also shared how he personally likes to travel.

“I like to eat well so I plan my travel route around good restaurants. I also like to climb up to a higher level where I can take in nature and the scenery,” he said.

“Many people think that I travel luxuriously because I’ve been an idol for over 10 years. But in reality, I like to do things locally and stay at a bed and breakfast. This trip (for the show) was right up my alley, looking for good places to eat while on a tight schedule.”

Traveling with a group meant adapting to different travel styles, and as a result he discovered new things.

“The experience of traveling in a different way with other members has taught me a lot. Usually, I’d usually go up somewhere and take in the scenery and take pictures and that would be it. But I learned that going to traditional and historical places can help you get to know the country better,” the singer said.
