“It is hard to put into words how the whole experience was. It was big, and everything was huge,” said Ahn Sung-mi, who flew all the way to London for the concert and also got to attend the press conference and see the pop-up store.

“To see BTS at Wembley is something I never thought I would see in my life,” she said. Witnessing the performance in person at that iconic stadium in the middle of the UK, and seeing the excited fans cheering for their idols, was quite different from reading about the global popularity of BTS, added Ahn.

The media conference was brief -- “about 30 to 40 minutes,” she said -- as it took place only two hours before the concert and there were over 100 reporters from various outlets, but Ahn was lucky enough to have the chance to ask a question: whether the band had any special events planned for the Wembley show.

“We are broadcasting the concert live for the first time,” answered J-Hope.

“About 140,000 fans watched (the live segment on V Live),” added Yim Hyun-su of Kpop Herald.

“We actually were not expecting to win the trophy,” said Doyoung.

“We have never looked at each other like this,” said Johnny, demonstrating how they had all turned their heads to the left and right to make sure they really were the winners.

“When the music video started playing, I had to see it closer before I realized that it really was ours,” added Taeyong, smiling.

“The shape of the trophy has changed,” commented Jaehyun, taking it from Taeyong to admire it up close.

“Yes, you notice those things,” said Johnny.

“It feels so good,” Jaehyun told fans.

“And this is the first time we topped the chart on this music program,” Doyoung pronounced.

“Thank you for letting us have this feeling. We will try and pay your support back by doing our best and being your champions,” promised Taeyong with a play on the music show’s name, “Show Champion.”

The members also celebrated the two-year anniversary of their official fandom community, the Seasonies, by singing “Happy Birthday.”

Clad in color-coordinated outfits, the girl group posed for the cameras waving and smiling in front of artwork and logos promoting the drink.

“Thank you very much for coming to spend time with us today. We would like to begin the signing session right away to meet and have pleasant chats with you,” said leader Jihyo to a cheering crowd.

Twice unveiled its fourth and fifth singles as well as music videos in Japan in advance, landing in both the No. 1 and 2 spots on Line Music’s Top 100 chart. The band will officially drop “Happy Happy” and “Breakthrough” on July 17 and 24, respectively, cementing their dominant position in Japan, where they have become the first foreign female artists to go double platinum.

In the music video for the lead track, “Follow,” he shows off powerful yet restrained dance moves to the beat of metallic percussion and chilling synthesizers. “It combines interesting beats and lethal lyrics,” said the performer. “I poured in every bit of know-how I have gained over the past 16 years.”

When asked at a media conference yesterday why it took him so long to go solo, he said, “I wanted to be ready.” Confiding that he was nervous, but in a good way, Yunho added, “I have done solo performances for TVXQ! concerts and did a project of my own through SM Station, but this is the first album all on my own.”

Vowing to do his best so that there will be no regrets, he said, “This is an opportunity to let my music be heard fully. I want to be an artist who makes people want to see what’s next.”
