Kpop Herald reporter Ahn Sung-mi traveled all the way from Seoul to London for in-depth coverage of the UK gig of BTS on its world tour, as well as the group’s press conference there.

“It’s really sunny and hot. I’m like sweating,” Ahn said as she spoke to viewers of the livestream, which had racked up nearly 50,000 views as of Sunday morning.

As she took viewers on a tour outside Wembley Stadium, thousands of fans could be seen arriving under banners of each of the respective bandmates.

Even before the show started, the festive atmosphere was already in full swing, with a flash mob dance performance by fans drumming up excitement ahead of the concert. Fans who were there to see BTS live also joined Ahn in the stream briefly, showing off tour merchandise.

After soldiering on for nearly an hour despite the hot weather, Ahn bid adieu to viewers and went inside the venue to cover the press conference for the world tour.

Hyunuk put on “Goodbye” by Park Hyo-shin and waited without saying a word as more viewers tuned in over time, before eventually talking about his recent trip to Japan after a fan asked.

“It’s been a while since I was last there and had food there, but I loved it. Performing there was fun as well,” Hyunuk said.

“I studied Japanese a lot, but studying and speaking on stage felt kind of different,” the singer said before promising fans he would study harder in the future.

The conversation took an interesting turn when fans inquired about his fitness. “I have abs that disappear when I eat and stay defined a little if I don’t eat,” he answered.

Binnie took the initiative and told viewers the seven-piece band was filming a music video for a new single off the group’s first full studio album of the same title. The bandmates could be seen dancing in unison and walking around a field of flowers while smiling.
Keeping in line with the concept, each of them stood against a background representing a different season.

“I found a flower from Winterland. Make sure this scene is included where I’ve climbed up a big rock for the video,” Binnie urged to the camera, saying she wanted fans to know the lengths she was willing to go.

Wearing a yellow dress with a white collar, Seunghee also posed and danced to the straightforward pop song. With a few outfit changes included, the making-of film is certainly worth a watch.

Speaking to the camera quietly, Jun said he was going to surprise his bandmates by staging a surprise stream on V Live in celebration of his birthday.

As soon as he started shouting, his four bandmates rushed to join him and sing their birthday wishes. Before “Happy Birthday” ended, Jun looked visibly happy as he saw his birthday cake, which was a gift from the group’s manager.

“I feel like it was yesterday when I celebrated my 6th birthday,” June commented. Later in the broadcast, he talked about his most memorable birthday.

“When we first debuted and appeared in Music Bank in 2017 as A.C.E and met fans in person for the first time was the most memorable moment,” he answered.
