The five-piece act nabbed the trophy with the newly released “BET BET,” the lead track from its sixth EP, “Happily Ever After.”

“When our name was called, I was too overwhelmed with emotion to shed a tear,” said Ren.

Hyunmin echoed that sentiment and acknowledged that his mind had gone blank.

“All I could do was smile,” added JR.

“Also, our music video has logged 10 million views as of today (May 8),” said Aron.

“We should give back more to you but it feels like we are only receiving so much,” said Hyunmin.

“There have been so many great things happening since we came back … the things that we have only dreamed about are coming true, all thanks to you. And it’s been only two weeks,” said Ren and Baekho.

EXO’s Xiumin soothes fans with single

For fans who already miss Xiumin of EXO, the singer soothed the sad feelings with a music video trailer for a new single, “You.”

The singer reported for military duty May 7, becoming the first band member to do so. All other members except Kai were there to see him off, sharing the final hour before he left.

“We Are One! Let’s love EXO!” posted Suho on Instagram with a photograph of everyone touching Xiumin’s shaved head.

“Sorry I couldn’t be there. Be safe and I will be the first to pay you a visit,” wrote Kai in a text message with a red heart emoticon.

The 29-year-old performer bid a temporary farewell to his fans, quoting from the new ballad dedicated to them: “You are all the reason for me to take steps.”

“You” is the 11th song from SM Station, SM Entertainment’s digital channel, which releases new music every Friday.

Twice recommends lesser-known tracks

Dahyun, Momo, Tsuyu and Sana of Twice shared their favorite songs from their own repertoire that did not become chart toppers on Naver’s “Hidden Track No. V."

First, Dahyun and Momo sang a few lines from their picks. This brief introduction was followed by the full-length videos.

“My pick is ‘The Best Thing I Ever Did,’” said Dahyun. “It is from the album released last winter, Dec. 12 to be exact, which makes it all the more special since the numbers stand for Once, Twice, and Once, Twice,” said the rapper with a big smile, referring to the band’s devoted fandom community.

Momo counted “Do It Again” as her favorite. “It is uplifting and it fits us very well, I think,” said the main dancer of the track from the band’s debut EP, “The Story Begins.” Written by Park Jin-young, the head of the band’s parent company, the second track from 2015 has been a fan favorite as well.

“We have been invited to a fashion show by Louis Vuitton and have come to New York,” explained Chaeryeong after saying hi to the fans.

“So nervous!” said the girls about attending the show the following day.

“This is our first time here as a group and we’ve had a lot of fun. But first we ordered room service and had such a good meal,” said Yeji.

“Have you checked Instagram? I have uploaded a lot of pictures,” said Lia, trying to share the bandmates’ happiness with the fans.

“We stayed up all night, actually, but I couldn’t overcome jet lag,” confessed Yeji, while Chaeryeong and Yuna boasted that they were totally fine.

“Lia has shared the photos of our V Live video broadcast on a billboard at Times Square (in March) but we did not imagine that we would actually be here so soon,” said the leader incredulously.
