“We are leaving and will be back everyone,” the band tweeted before hopping on the airplane for the awards show, which will air live May 1.

BTS has been nominated for the Top Duo/Group and Top Social Artist awards. The band has won the latter honor for the past two years thanks to its ever-enthusiastic fan Army, but this is the first time it got a nod for its music.

BBMA has officially announced that the K-pop group will go onstage at the show -- performing its newly released single “Boy With Luv” alongside Halsey, who did not join the artists for their “Saturday Night Live” premiere. The fact that the awards show is taking place on a Wednesday instead of the usual Saturday has given rise to speculation that BBMA had to accommodate BTS’ hectic schedule.

NU’EST has returned with fanfare, landing at the top of music charts with “BET BET,” the title song from the band’s sixth EP, “Happily Ever After.”

The slow-tempo electronic dance number mixes standout synthesized bass sounds with rhythm and blues, illustrating a unique and sophisticated arrangement of pluck sounds and strong beats. Member Baekho co-wrote the song and lyrics and JR participated in writing it as well.

In the music video that was released simultaneously, the five band members show powerful choreography before taking a 180-degree turn. Then, they go sweet and gentle in a pastel setting.

This is the first time in three years that the band has performed all together. Minhyun had temporarily been on his own, participating in the second season of the audition program “Producer 101” and performing as Wanna One.

“I am very nervous,” said JR yesterday at a showcase event to promote the EP. “This is another beginning for us and we want to appeal (to fans) as much as we can,” said the leader.

“I didn’t know that NCT Dream was livestreaming. Sorry for turning it off so abruptly,” he began, apologizing for the previous attempt.

The performer was in the car with Jungwoo and Johnny. “Johnny is sad. Someone bumped into him and spilled coffee,” explained Doyoung, pointing out his bandmate trying to undo the damage on his T-shirt.

Who was the culprit?

“I only remember he was wearing a white T-shirt,” said Johnny.

“But everyone was wearing white,” replied the other two.

Doyoung invited fans to read his lips and guess what song he was singing. “Let’s begin with our songs to keep it easy at first,” he said.

Jungwoo got all the answers right away.

“You are actually singing the songs! You are so bad,” he chuckled, taking away the camera so he could try it himself.

The day before the flight, the five band members were super excited about their first overseas trip together.

“I am so excited to see how big the dome will be,” said Chaeryeong.

“I can’t even imagine,” echoed Lia.

“I wish we could go on the stage there someday,” said Yuna.

“This time we are only going to watch but we will do our best until one day we can perform onstage,” added Lia.

The girls also got busy making their own placards to show their support for Twice.

“Should we ask Twice to pick out their favorite after the concert?” asked Ryujin, sending her bandmates into a rush of giddiness.
