BTS’ new song “Boy With Luv” has taken the No. 8 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming the highest-charting song by a Korean group, Billboard said Tuesday.

Featuring Halsey, “Boy With Luv,” the title track of the new EP “Map of the Soul Persona,” has outperformed BTS’ “Fake Love,” which debuted and peaked at No. 10 on the top singles chart in June 2018. The band is also the first Korean group to crack the top 10 multiple times.

BTS is the second Korean artist to enter the Hot 100's top 10. Psy’s “Gangnam Style” had peaked at No. 2 on the chart for seven weeks in 2012, and “Gentleman” reached No. 5 in 2013.

Billboard Hot 100 is a weekly list of the most popular songs across all genres, based on album sales, radio airplay and streaming data.

Another song from the album “Make it Right,” co-written by Ed Sheeran, also entered the chart at No. 95 this week, making BTS the first K-pop act to have more than one song on the chart simultaneously.

The chart reflecting BTS’ latest milestone will be updated on Billboard’s website Tuesday (US time).

In addition, the new seven-track EP, released on April 12, has topped the Billboard 200 albums chart, making BTS the first band since the Beatles to win three Nos. 1 in less than a year.
