Asking his fans to understand that he is still not used to being in front of the camera alone, he began by showing off his new hair color and style.

The boy band is currently touring Japan and much to his delight -- “It’s been a while!” -- fans there sent him pork cutlet with curry from Coco Ichiban. Taeyong joined the live talk with an ice cream declaring that they were going to have a feast, adding cup noodles and natto to the menu.

Over the food, they listed some of their favorites from Japan for the fans but also talked about their concert switching between Korean and Japanese. “I have realized that I had this certain set of thinking but now feel like I can try new things … express more,” said Taeyong. Thanking their fans for the support, “our new album is coming in April and please wait until then!” said Yuta.

The EP is named “Bye” bidding a temporary goodbye to his fans as he leaves to serve his military duty. It also stands for “Beside You Every moment.”

The rapper was all smiles talking to the press before the showcase saying: “This is the first solo album since I debuted nine years ago. I am grateful that the dream of my family has come true.”

It took him 1 1/2 years to come up with his own album. “I have listened to over 500 songs and met a lot of people. I have come to appreciate those around me more and at the same time felt the void of my members,” said the 30-year old.

Jang chose to pack more hip-hop elements into the album and hopes the audience to know that this is the music he wants to make.
