Red Velvet celebrates winning two V Live awards

Red Velvet won two trophies in V Live’s 2018 awards: best channel and global top 10.

The quintet hosted a “re:memVer” party aired live Thursday, as part of V Live’s weeklong celebrations.

Before being presented with trophies, the members looked back on 2018, recalling a trip to Slovenia in May on a reality show and three releases -- “Bad Boy,” “Power Up” and “RBB.”

“Most recently, we finished a North American tour, which was very nice,” Wendy said.

Brought up in Toronto, the member said she met up with hometown friends for the first time in eight years.

“My family saw me perform onstage for the first time,” she added.

The bandmates watched a highlight video, prepared by V Live editors, of broadcasts they aired in 2018.

Some members couldn’t help but cringe while watching themselves on screen.

“Oh no. Why did I do that?” they screamed.

“All of these moments will be past memories,” Joy said.

“We turned on the V app, because we wanted to reach out to our fans. And V Live is giving us an award for that. Thank you,” Yeri said.

Seventeen’s ‘re:memVer’ party

Seventeen made it to V Live’s list of global top 10 artists in 2018, and in celebration, the act hosted a “re:memVer” party on Thursday.

The band’s 13 members shared their most memorable livestreams and shared behind-the-scenes stories while watching a highlight video prepared by V Live editors.

The bandmates couldn’t stop laughing while watching the clip of Seungkwan, Dokyeom and Hoshi’s karaoke outing.

Although it was not included in the highlight video, some members brought up the Halloween broadcast in which Woozy dressed up as Po of “Teletubbies.”

As the topic moved to what they want to try on V in the future, S.Coups said he wanted to livestream the bandmates’ night out.

“We have so much fun at hoeshik,” he said, referring to an office dinner event, often involving drinks.

“Livestreaming hoeshik can be risky. We may need some editing,” Seungkwan suggested.
