JYP Entertainment’s rookie group ITZY went on V Live on Feb. 12, before the band’s official debut, to give fans a look behind the scenes as the artists recorded a voice teaser.

Lia opened the video by greeting fans at the recording studio. “We’re here today to record our voice teaser. The quote, ‘I don’t care what they say -- I am just who I am,’ shows our identity and the concept that represents us,” she said.

Next, Lia, who is fluent in English, pronounced the words perfectly for the recording.

Then her bandmates Chaeryeong and Ryujin greeted fans too.

“There is not much time left before our debut,” said Yeji, who was holding the camera. “We have tried really hard to meet fans and I can’t sleep very well because news about us comes out every day.”

After Lia had recorded the band’s statement, all her bandmates took their turns in their own charming styles.
