Monsta X on Wednesday talked about its collaboration with Steve Aoki, a famous DJ and producer who produced the group’s latest title track “Play It Cool,” released Monday.

The bandmates were interviewed by a local media outlet.

“I asked him why he chose us among other good artists in Korea, and he answered, ‘You are just awesome!’” said I.M.

Monsta X also expressed its excitement at having participated in the annual “iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour” held at Madison Square Garden in New York in December.

“The ‘Jingle Ball Tour’ is an event open only to artists who have shown great achievements in the year. We were so honored to join the awesome event,” I.M said.

“Above all things, I was so happy that we were invited on behalf of Korean artists. I’m so proud that we performed together with other global artists,” Wonho added.

Asked about the act’s New Year’s resolutions, Jooheon said, “My goal is that all of our tracks in our new album will rank in music charts.”
