Lee Dae-hwi of disbanded K-pop group Wanna One took to V Live on Friday on the way to his high school graduation ceremony, sharing some of his last moments at school with fans.

Wearing the iconic yellow uniform of School of Performing Arts Seoul, Dae-hwi had his hair newly dyed in a bright tint of gold to match.

“I know many of my friends are also graduating, so I’m really excited to see all of them after such a while,” he said.

“Happy graduation, Hyunjin!” Dae-hwi said to the camera, congratulating one of his best friends, Hyunjin of fellow K-pop group Stray Kids.

Amid the livestream, Dae-hwi sang a verse from “Candle,” released last month in collaboration with his former bandmate Park Woo-jin, for fans.

He talked about the song that he had presented to another former member of Wanna One, Park Ji-hoon, “Young Twenty.”

“The song is my gift for Ji-hoon and his fans,” Dae-hwi explained “Since the 20s is a youthful period, the song embraces a message that Ji-hoon will spend his most youthful days with his fans.

“I’m really thankful to all those people who congratulated me on my graduation. I also send thanks to people who will be coming to the ceremony.”

Dae-hwi had recently visited Los Angeles, where he had lived before coming to Korea as a K-pop trainee, to spend time with family before his graduation.

The K-pop star, now affiliated with Brand New Music, said he will be returning to the stage before long. Following Wanna One’s final concert on Jan. 27, Dae-hwi has yet to announce any official plans related to his future activities.

The video reached 65,000 viewers and received more than 6 million likes during the livestream.
