Among 1,500 or so e-mails, Kim selected five and read them out loud before replying personally to each of the letter writers on camera. He said he was sorry for not being able to read all the letters he’d received.

Kim said he was visibly moved by the poetic language in one of the letters.

“When the spring passes away, I would listen to your voice to recall the warmth of the spring,” it said.

“I am really touched,” Kim responded. “This gives me a good inspiration for a song or lyrics. It really warms my heart. I’ll remember you.”

Then he read a letter from a high school boy who said it was his first time being a fan of any singer and that he secretly but actively participated in fan activities.

“It is meaningful that I am his first singer. I will do better because fans give me so much love,” added Kim.

At the end, he said he was sorry to have to say goodbye to his fans and that he hoped they would have a good day and spend it with loving people. He thanked his fans for their countless letters and promised to read them all later.
