“Want” is the lead track of an album with the same name that is slated for release Monday at 6 p.m.

The behind-the-scenes video shows Taemin -- a member of the K-pop boy band SHINee, but currently engaging in solo work -- shooting various scenes for the actual music video.

The filmmaking video lacks any conversation or narration, giving it a choppy flow. At one point, the singer wears a dark suit as he dances onstage. The tension peaks in a scene where Taemin appears with a snake wrapped around his neck and wrists as another slithers across his face.

In contrast to his expert movements onstage, Taemin is seen smiling warmly when the camera is turned off -- casually chatting with the crew or monitoring his videos.

Taemin originally debuted as part of SHINee under S.M. Entertainment in 2008. Since 2014 he has steadily built a solo career, starting with the single “Ace.” This new album follows “Taemin,” the K-pop idol’s first studio album, released in November.
