“I stay in contact with Woozi. It would be nice working with him,” he said in a behind-the-scenes video released Monday via V Live.

Woozi is the main singer in the boy band Seventeen, which had just released the album “You Made My Dawn” the same day.

Most of the six tracks on the record were composed and written by Woozi.

Kihyun also said he was working on a new music project for 2019.

“Shownu is in it. And I will show some dancing on top of rapping,” he added.

Wanna One’s Bae Jin-young appears solo

Preparing for his post-Wanna One career, Bae Jin-young aired a V Live broadcast Monday.

Since the project group disbanded at the end of 2018, fans have eagerly awaited a message from Bae.

This time the 40-minute livestream was uploaded to the official V Live channel of his agency, C9 Entertainment, not Wanna One’s.

In the first half, the singer reviewed the highlights of his life in 2018 month by month.

“To be honest with you, I don’t feel comfortable doing V in this formal setting. I don’t know what to do,” he said.

He took the camera, which was in a fixed position in front of him, and held it in his hand.

“I am more used to doing V like this. It should be like this,” he said.

He said his staff was making a fuss behind the camera because he was doing it on his own. But he insisted that he knew better what his fans liked and that he would do the V Live broadcast on his own.

“My official fan site opened. Please subscribe to it. I will visit it very often,” he said.

IZ*ONE takes fans backstage at Golden Disc

Girl group IZ*ONE released a behind-the-scenes video from the Jan. 5-6 Golden Disc Awards.

The 12-piece act performed its debut single, “La Vie en Rose,” and covered two great K-pop hits from the 1990s and the 2000s -- “Full of Happiness” by H.O.T. and “Mirotic” by TVXQ.

Kim Min-joo, who took part in the “Mirotic” performance, was visibly nervous before going onstage in her black outfit.

“This is like one of the most nervous moments in my life,” she said.

Bandmate Kwon Eun-bi practiced the dance moves for the cover till the last minute.

But the other seven members wore colorful clothes and punky hair as they got ready to perform the 1997 hit from the first-generation K-pop boy band H.O.T.

“We’ve practiced for this day and night,” Jo Yuri said.

The video ends with the artists gathering around to thank their fans for the rookie award they received that night.

“We won the rookie tonight! Thank you all for your support and we promise to reward you with good music and performances,” said Kwon, the band’s leader.
