BTS tries hand at cooking

BTS fans were in for a perfect New Year’s gift on V Live on Tuesday, as the K-pop group released a new episode of its reality show, “Run BTS!”

In the video titled “Run BTS! 2019 - Ep. 57,” the seven bandmates try their hand at cooking Italian food, something that member V wanted to do.

“One of us hates cooking,” J-Hope said, looking at RM and pointing out his apparent lack of enthusiasm.

“I am afraid of cooking,” said RM.

The septet then decided who should team up with whom. RM, J-Hope and Suga formed a team, while V paired up with Jimin, and Jin teamed up with Jungkook.

To choose the ingredients they wanted to cook with, the bandmates played two games: cutting a certain amount of butter without using a scale, and whisking egg whites by hand.

To the surprise of all, RM’s team won both games.

In the whisking challenge, Jimin ended up with egg whites on his head as he turned the bowl upside down over his head in a failed bid to prove his meringue-making skills.

The episode ends with the members in a fully-equipped restaurant kitchen, all set to start cooking, with the assistance of chef Park Joon-woo.

During the over 90-minute broadcast, split into two segments due to interrupted connection, she answered questions from fans on various topics.

“Who among the members would you like to have as your real younger sister?” asked one fan.

Mimi chose Hana, because only Hana is of the same age with her.

“The rest are already like real younger sisters to me,” she added.
