BTS member Jimin released “Promise,” the first song the 24-year-old performer has written, on Monday.

“You’ve waited a long time. This is the song I wrote for myself and for all the fans,” said Jimin via BTS’ official Twitter account. “My first song may not be perfect, but please enjoy. Thank you to the whole Army for waiting.” The Army is BTS’ official fan club’s name.

“Promise” features an acoustic guitar sound that blends well with Jimin’s expressive voice, and lyrics that will comfort those who are in pain.

His bandmates also participated in creating the track, with RM co-writing the lyrics and V shooting the cover photo.
