Golden Child’s Hong Joo-chan will halt activities with the group due to a leg injury sustained during dance practice.

Representing Golden Child, Woollim Entertainment said Friday, “Hong Joo-chan sprained his left leg during a recent dance practice. He has hurt a knee ligament, and is taking a rest.”

Woollim said it considers Joo-chan’s health to be of the utmost importance and had consulted his family and doctors before deciding to temporarily halt Joo-chan’s activities.

The 19-year-old will be absent from Golden Child’s year-end activities to focus on recovery.

“We ask for your understanding,” Woollim said to fans.

Golden Child is the “brother” group of Infinite. Woollim debuted the group in August 2017.
