Winner appears on “Idol Radio”

Yoon, the leader of K-pop quartet Winner, is working on a solo album, but worries its release may be pushed back to a much later date, he said on radio.

Appearing on MBC’s “Idol Radio,” hosted by Jung Il-hoon of BTOB, Yoon, whose real name is Kang Seung-yoon, also said the member troubling him most is Mino because he is often late.

“As a leader, I become nervous when he’s late,” Yoon said.

Mino responded, “When I am late, I am late by like 10 seconds. Seung-yoon is such a perfectionist.”

“More haste, less speed” is one of his principles, Mino added.

Members said YG Entertainment chief Yang Hyung-suk gifted each of them a tablet PC, which they are making good use of these days.

Winner released single “Million” on Dec. 19 and is to hold a concert in Seoul on Jan. 5.

Behind Jennie’s first TV debut with “Solo”

YG Entertainment released behind-the-scenes footage of Black Pink member Jennie making her local TV show debut as a solo singer.

The video is the latest installment of Jennie’s “Solo Diary” released via the K-pop girl group’s official V Live channel.

In the clip marked EP. 5-1, Jennie arrives in the wee hours of Nov. 25 at TV station SBS to shoot the weekly music chart show “Inkigayo.”

To her surprise, Black Pink bandmates are already there to greet Jennie and lend their support.

“You look so pretty,” Lisa said to Jennie as she took off her coat to reveal her stage outfit for the day -- a red mini dress.

Jennie released her first solo album, “Solo,” in November, becoming the first of the four-piece group to go solo. YG Entertainment said earlier that the remaining three would also attempt to pursue individual projects while continuing their activities with Black Pink.
