BTS tops brand value among K-pop acts for December

BTS has ranked No. 1 on the Korean Reputation Center’s brand value index for December.

According to a survey of over 138 million pieces of data on K-pop acts collected by the KRC between Nov. 23 and Monday, BTS emerged top with a brand reputation index of 20,288,702, up 1.94 percent from October’s index.

Released each month, the brand value ranking is based on participation, communication, media and community indexes.

BTS received high ratings for the terms “grand prize,” “clean sweep” and “Jimin” in link analysis, and “cute,” “warm” and “awesome” in key-word analysis.

Project boy band Wanna One and Black Pink took second and third place respectively, followed by acts like Twice, Jennie of Black Pink, EXO, Mamamoo, IZ*ONE and (G)I-DLE.

The seven-piece act was also named the best artist of 2018 in a nationwide poll by research company Gallup Korea.

BTS is set to headline SBS’ upcoming music awards show “Gayo Daejeon,” which will take place later in the day at Gocheok Sky Dome.
