AOA’s Seolhyun became the 1,991th member of the donators’ club Honor Society, as of Dec. 20.

According to Community Chest of Korea, which gives out the membership, Seolhyun donated 50 million won ($44,400) on Nov. 29 and again donated the same amount for underprivileged teenagers and children Thursday.

Seolhyun is the sixth singer to join the Honor Society. The Community Chest of Korea, responsible for the membership, is the largest nonprofit welfare institution in Korea.

Before Seolhyun, Hyunsook became joined in 2013, followed by Yoona, Insooni and Suzy in 2015 and Ha Chun-hwa in 2016.

“Many people have helped me to be who I am now and I always wanted to be helpful just as they were,” said Seolhyun. “It feels good to return the love I received to others who are in need.”
