A hip-hop R&B song with a strong drumbeat and synth bass, the song premiered at the Mnet Asia Music Awards in Hong Kong on Dec. 14.

Pledis Entertainment teased the video with the hashtag “YMMD Prequel,” prompting speculation about whether the track is connected with the act’s fifth mini-album, “You Make My Day,” released in July.

Yuju of GFriend airs midnight V Live broadcast

Yuju of GFriend popped on the act’s V Live channel at around 12:40 a.m. Thursday for a little chat with night owls.

The member, whose absence from public activities in November has many fans worried, said she was still at her company’s practice room.

“I had a very nice V Live broadcast with my bandmates earlier in the day at Coex, but I turned it on again to say hello,” she said. “I won’t be long.”

While Yuju was responding to comments from viewers, her bandmate Yerin called.

After saying hello to the fans via phone, Yerin asked them for ideas about what to buy for Yuju on her way home. Like some ice cream, she said.

On Wednesday, the six-piece girl group aired two V Live broadcasts as ambassadors for the Coex Winter Festival, which opened its 12-day run that day.

EXO’s Suho, Chen appear on ‘Idol Radio’

The upcoming “Show You EXO,” a special show featuring all the band members, is something fans have never seen before, EXO members Suho and Chen said Thursday.

“It will be (great fun), I can assure you,” Chen said on Thursday’s episode of “Idol Radio,” which was livestreamed on Naver’s V app.

“You will see a very excited D.O.,” added Suho, referring to the bandmate who is considered the group’s most serious member.

The show’s host, Jung Il-hoon from BTOB, asked Suho about the difference between EXO member Suho and his alter ego, musical actor Kim Junmyeon. Suho uses his real name for his musical career.

“As an EXO member, I find comfort in the fact that I have eight bandmates with me on stage, but also as the leader of the group I feel a certain pressure to lead the team. Whereas when I’m a musical actor, I am on my own and at the same time part of a big production that involves not just other actors but staff, the orchestra and so on,” he said.

“When I first started out (as a musical actor), I was so nervous. I couldn’t even sleep,” he added.
