NCT U’s hit “Baby Don’t Stop” dropped in February has topped Dazed’s list of the 20 best K-pop songs of 2018.

According to the list by the British magazine, the bass-driven song, performed by Ten and Taeyong, was followed by tracks like BTS’ “Fake Love,” (G)I-DLE’s “HANN,” Red Velvet’s “Bad Boy” and SHINee’s “Good Evening.”

“‘Baby Don’t Stop’ is mesmerising and, even after 10 months, shows no signs of inducing listener fatigue. While that may be impressive alone, what’s really astonishing is its sense of completeness. … A combination of intelligent production, experimentation, charisma, and unbridled ambition, ‘Baby Don’t Stop’ is, unironically, a true showstopper,” the magazine said of the song.

NCT U, a rotational subunit of NCT, debuted in April 2016 with the digital singles “The 7th Sense” and “Without You.”

“Baby Don’t Stop” was also the first duet project to be rolled out under the NCT 2018 Empath project, through which NCT released its first full-length album that featured all units of NCT.
