Jennie says “Stay” is her emotional weak spot

Black Pink member Jennie said “Stay,” the lead track of the act’s 2016 album “Square Two,” makes her emotional, explaining why she shed tears while singing the song during a recent concert.

“‘Stay’ is like my emotional weak point. I got choked up singing the song in Japan, too,’” she said, shortly after the girl group wrapped up its first concert in Seoul on Nov. 11, in a video released Tuesday.

The three-minute clip, titled “Jennie - ‘Solo’ Diary Ep. 4-1” and uploaded to the act’s official V Live channel, captures the 22-year-old singer on the concert day. “Solo” is the title of her first solo album released in November.

It kicks off with Jennie getting a neck massage and contains behind-the-scenes footage, including that of her busily getting her hair and makeup done for her unveiling of “Solo” during the concert. It also shows Jennie crying while singing “Stay,” and bandmates trying to comfort her.

“I felt so overwhelmed at that moment,” she said afterward.

The 28-year-old singer also talked about his plan to start his mandatory military service.

“Considering my age, I will have to enlist soon. I have no fixed date yet though,” he said.

Taeil will hold solo concerts titled “TALE 20” at Olympic Park’s K-Art Hall next Saturday and Sunday.

“To mark it and keep up the holiday theme, today I am going to show you a makeup look for Christmas parties,” the singer said.

A warm and cozy seasonal track with a retro pop sound, “One More Christmas” was released along with a music video on Dec. 14.

“I always wanted to do a carol,” she said, before playing the track. “Hope you have a happy Christmas with ‘One More Christmas.’”
