In “YG Treasure Box,” male YG trainees compete to earn spots in a new group. YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun-suk said that he plans to debut five trainees, though the final number could be subject to change.

According to local media, YG Entertainment will kick off the female version of the show between January and February 2019. The show is expected to air soon after “YG Treasure Box” ends.

The female version will have a similar format to the current show. It is also expected to focus on online video platforms. “YG Treasure Box” is being prereleased on the V Live app and is later broadcasted on JTBC2 and YouTube.
