Behind shooting of new TV series ‘My Strange Hero’

Behind-the-scenes footage from the shooting of TV drama “My Strange Hero” was released on V Live on Wednesday.


The clip captures actress Jo Bo-ah and actor Yeon Jun-suk braving the winter cold and taking a plunge into the Han River for a scene.

A romantic-comedy drama, SBS TV’s new series also stars Yoo Seung-ho as the male lead who meets his former classmate Jo at the same high school nine years later.

“My Strange Hero” airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on SBS TV.

Twice’s Nayeon greets fans in Japan

Nayeon of Twice went on the V app on Wednesday night after the act’s performance at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards event in Japan. It was hours after the band’s new record “The Best Thing I Ever Did” was unveiled.

“We worked hard for tonight’s performance. I think it turned out pretty good,” she said at a hotel room.

Her roommate for the night, Dahyun, briefly appeared at the beginning of the livestream but chose to stay off camera for the rest of the session.

Regarding the newly released music video for “The Best Thing,” Nayeon said the snow scene was shot in a remote place in Mongolia.

“It took us almost seven hours in a car to reach there,” she recalled. “I am glad that you like it.”

Nam Yoo-hyun of Infinite goes live ahead of release of solo song

Infinite’s Nam Woo-Hyun took to V Live on Wednesday ahead of the release of his solo song “This Song” (literal translation).

“I performed the song at the ‘Arbor Day’ concert and it was well-received. So I consulted with my company to release it as a digital single,” Nam said, referring to his first-ever solo concerts held in Seoul from Nov. 2-4.

Nam answered fans’ questions about the song and explained its lyrics during the livestream. Infinite member Jang Dong-woo made a guest appearance.

Nam has released two solo albums so far, with the latest, “Second Write,” in September. He is set to star in the local production of the musical “The Days,” which starts its run in December in the southern port city of Busan.

Nam’s digital single will be available for streaming and downloads from 6 p.m. Thursday.
