Chungha will return with a new album in January.

Representing the singer, MNH Entertainment said Wednesday that the K-pop solo artist will release her album on Jan. 2, her first record since her third EP “Blooming Blue” dropped in July.

The agency added that the forthcoming album would focus on the artist and showcase different sides of Chungha.

The 22-year-old singer originally debuted as a member of the temporary girl group I.O.I that was created through the popular audition show “Produce 101” in May 2016.

Since the group disbanded in January last year, Chungha has made a successful transition from an I.O.I member to a successful K-pop solo artist. Her debut EP “Hands on Me,” featuring the lead track
“Why Don’t You Know,” and the EP “Offset,” featuring “Rollercoaster,” topped local music charts.

Chungha is also set to headline the 2018 Mnet Music Awards in Hong Kong on Friday.
