A groovy rhythm and blues tune mixed with the act’s signature pop sounds, “The Best Thing” is the lead track for the act’s upcoming album “The Year of ‘Yes,’” set to release Wednesday. The repackaged edition of “Yes or Yes” comprises seven tracks from the original album and two new tracks.

“The Best Thing” has drawn keen attention from fans as well as industry insiders because JYP, producer and CEO of the act’s label JYP Entertainment, participated in its making alongside six composers.

Watch AOA prep for red carpet

AOA released a behind-the-scenes video from last month’s Asia Artist Awards via V Live on Friday.

Seolhyun, dressed in a long black dress, popped up on the V app as the emcee of the act’s own broadcast, interviewing bandmates who were still preparing for the red carpet.

“What’s the concept of your outfit tonight?” she asked Hyejeong. “You look like Elsa,” she said in reference to Disney’s “Frozen” princess.

As for her own style, Seolhyun joked that she took a cue from the curtains.

On that night, Seolhyun received the AAA New Wave award as an actress, while AOA won the category of AAA Asia Brilliant.

Na-eun of Apink touched by fans

Apink’s Na-eun is pursuing an acting career, having played her first lead role in recently released film “The Wrath.” And Apink fans are her biggest support base, the singer and actress said.

In a video released on Apink’s official V Live channel, Na-eun was apparently nervous before an imminent stage greeting, practicing how she would address the audience.

“I am nervous. This is my first stage greeting,” she said. “It is comforting to know that my fans are among the audience out there to support me. I am so grateful for them.”

After the event, she greeted another audience consisting of her fans. These fans had rented a cinema screen to watch her film together.

“It felt like my own fan meeting. I have been on edge since the film opened, but fans are giving me strength,” she said.
