Fans can cheer on K-pop groups with a new edition of virtual light sticks during V Live broadcasts.

V Live announced the virtual light sticks on its website Friday. The V Live app must be updated to the 3.6.0 version for users to enjoy the feature.

Fans can give double “hearts” by tapping the virtual light sticks, shaped just like those used to cheer on K-pop stars in real life.

Unique effects that reflect the colors of K-pop stars’ fandoms will light up onscreen every time the feature is clicked.

The light sticks can be purchased at the V Store. Twenty-four-hour use is priced at 99 cents, and 30-day usage costs $2.99. Profits from the light sticks will go to the artists.

Starting Friday, broadcasts will separately designate the accumulated number of light-stick hearts from the original heart count.

The V Lightstick will feature the light sticks of BTS, Twice, GOT7, NU’EST W, and MONSTA X. The light sticks of Winner, iKon, Black Pink, Seventeen, and Cosmic Girls will be added in 2019.

V Live plans to add more light sticks in the future.

Naver’s real-time broadcasting app V allows fans to interact with their favorite K-pop stars through live broadcasts. The app is available for Android and iOS. For more information, visit http://www.vlive.tv.
