Kwanghee of Ze:A completed his mandatory military service Friday.

The day marked the coldest morning of the season, with morning temperatures in Seoul plunging to minus 10 degrees Celsius, but Kwanghee was welcomed warmly by fans and reporters at the National Cemetery in Seoul, where his discharge ceremony was held.

“Sgt. Hwang Kwang-hee is discharged. Salute,” Kwanghee said. “I wasn’t expecting this many people would be waiting for me, and I am very thankful for it. I will become Kwanghee who gives you strength with a bright and healthy smile.”

He also thanked his military colleagues.

Asked who he had missed the most in the Army, he named the cast of “Infinite Challenge,” a now-ended variety show on which the singer was a regular cast member.

He also lifted the mood by performing Black Pink Jennie’s “Solo” dance moves, adding that the K-pop girl group was one of his favorite acts while serving in the military.

Lastly, the singer highlighted his upcoming appearances on the small screen, with the first being the MBC reality program “Omniscient.”

After debuting with boy band Ze:A, Kwanghee gained attention as a cast member of MBC’s prime-time entertainment show “Infinite Challenge.“

The singer had enlisted on March 13, 2017 and served two years in the military band.
