Jennie of Black Pink made K-pop history after the video for her debut single “Solo” surpassed 100 million views.

“Solo” had been viewed over 100 million times as of the early hours of Thursday, prompting the singer’s agency, YG Entertainment, to congratulate her via its official blog.

The “Solo” video was released in mid-November, taking just over three weeks to reach 100 million views, making Jennie the fastest K-pop solo female artist to do so.

Aside from the original music video, a spinoff video that focuses on Jennie’s choreography was also watched over 300 million times, adding to the song’s growing popularity.

Some might have seen this coming, as “Solo” garnered over 10 million views in the first 15 hours after its release.

“Solo” has proved a huge success on charts also, dominating a number of music streaming platforms, including Melon and Gaon Music Chart.
