Song Joong-ki will host the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong for a second consecutive year.

Representing the act, Blossom Entertainment announced on Monday that the actor is to host the highly anticipated K-pop awards show at Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo arena Dec. 14.

“Song communicated with global fans at last year’s MAMA with his fluent English skills as a host. He is expected to add luster to the upcoming event this year again,” the agency said.

This year’s MAMA, the 10th since the show’s launch in 1999, will begin Dec. 10 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul before moving on to Japan’s Saitama Super Arena on Dec. 12 and Hong Kong’s AsiaWorld-Expo on Dec. 14.

Actors Jung Hae-in and Park Bo-gum will host the events in South Korea and Japan, respectively.

Song, who is celebrating his 10th anniversary in show business this year, will finally return to the small screen in an upcoming tvN blockbuster drama, tentatively titled “Asadal Chronicles.”
