The fantasy romantic comedy is based on a popular web cartoon of the same title. The plot revolves around the love story between a popular cartoonist and his assistant, who drinks enchanted coffee.

During a press conference held Thursday, Yong said his role in the series is akin to his personality in real life, explaining that the similarity made it easier to get into character.

“The character I play tries to act tough on the surface, but is sensitive and vulnerable on the inside -- I think I see a lot of myself in him,” he said.
Yong stars alongside Kim Min-young, Lee Tae-ri and Chae Seo-jin.

“Coffee, Do Me a Favor” premieres Saturday at 7:40 p.m. on Channel A.
