Mino from Winner who is releasing his solo debut album “XX” said he was surprised to see a couple of tracks get an X-rating.

Tha rapper, who also goes by Song Min-ho, shared his views on the rating of some of his new tracks during a press conference in Seoul on Monday.

“I really didn’t see the X-rating coming. Some of the songs may have got the rating because I wanted to have fun and do what I wanted while making the album with an open mind,” Mino said, denying that it was his plan to make some songs “adults-only.”

He also expressed regret as some of his fans are minors.

“I don’t quite understand the standard. I have various age groups in my fan base and it is regretful that some underage fans won’t be able to listen. But it’s just a few songs and I hope they enjoy the other tracks.” He said.

Mino’s debut solo album consists of 12 tracks, recorded over the space of two months.

“XX” is scheduled for release at 6 p.m. Monday on online streaming services.
