EXID is once again a five-piece unit, as its leader Solji has rejoined the group after a two-year hiatus due to health reasons.

Solji took a break from the group in December 2016 after being diagnosed with thyroid disease.

She spent the last two years undergoing treatment and resting. Having worked as a four-piece group without its leader for the last two years, the bandmates appeared upbeat in red outfits during the showcase for the new single “I Love You,” which is scheduled for release at 6 p.m. Thursday.

Looking on form, the returned member was more than ready.

“I feel like I’ve come to where I belong. I have missed it so much,” Solji said.

“I wanted to come back quicker to be honest. It’s a little later than I expected, which we want to apologize to fans for. But I’m glad we managed to release a record as a five-piece group this year,” she said.

Asked about her health, she said her TSH levels have returned to normal.

Hani said she had missed little things about Solji.

“In the waiting rooms where you spend a lot of time, I missed things like Solji’s unique laughter,” Hani said.

A trailer for the single “I Love You” has already been watched over a million times on YouTube.
