Crush has long established himself as a fixture on Korea’s mainstream music charts.

Now, the R&B singer-songwriter is bringing his chart-topping game overseas, with his first North American venture slated for late November to early December.

Released last Friday, “Lay Your Head on Me” has topped the R&B and Soul music category in the iTunes charts in four different places, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Malaysia.

The latest single is a track with minimalistic instrumentation, featuring only vocals and acoustic guitar. His first song to be sung in English, “Lay Your Head on Me” will serve as “a preview of (the North American) tour,” Crush said in his Friday interview with Billboard.

The 26-year-old star recently held a two-day concert at Seoul Olympic Hall and is now heading off to Toronto on Wednesday to kick off his first tour in North America.

After hitting Toronto, he will be taking the show to six US cities: New York, Dallas, Chicago, LA, San Jose and Seattle.

Crush debuted in April 2014 with the single “Sometimes” under the record label Amoeba Culture, founded by Korean hip hop duo Dynamic Duo.
