BTOB returned with the new ballad “Beautiful Pain” on Nov. 12.

The septet staged its first performance on KBS’s weekly music show “Music Bank” on Friday.

“Our special album is composed of six tracks, all of which are full of ‘BTOB sentiments,’” said the band ahead of its first “Music Bank” performance since the new song’s release.

Im Hyun-sik, who penned and composed the song, said he drew inspiration from the “irretrievable nature of time,” which he found to be “sad yet beautiful.”

All seven bandmates dressed in maroon suits for the Friday performance, a color choice to reflect the song’s mellowness.

Titled “Hour Moment,” the new album is a recollection of BTOB’s memories together so far. The 7-year-old boy band recently renewed its contract with Cube Entertainment.

“The new album is about our friendship, teamwork and memories that we’d like to share with fans,” BTOB said.
